Our approach
At Miss Grape, we've always been committed to creating quality bikepacking bags and unique, unforgettable travel experiences. Constantly improving performance and striving for quality have brought us to where we are today and will always be part of our DNA, but over the years, our thinking has evolved. We now know that simply delivering the best performance and highest quality products is no longer enough; creating them as responsibly as possible is also important.
We've realized this is a journey, not a destination. And this "adventure" isn't all that different from the process of creating one of our own bags. It requires new ideas and concepts, then testing, evaluating, and repeating the process until we achieve results we can be truly proud of. It will take time and careful attention, but we're truly motivated to take on this challenge, which isn't as simple as it may seem. Below, we'd like to share some of the steps we've already taken, others we're working on, and others we plan to implement in the future. We strive to be transparent, so this page will be updated regularly to keep you updated on our progress. Logistics and Packaging
We're constantly working to reduce consumption, starting with logistics. Put simply, this means we breathe cleaner air because fewer containers travel from our factories to our warehouses (the longest part of the journey before arriving at your home). We've also reduced packaging and looked for opportunities to launch environmentally friendly packaging materials.
Repairs and Replacements
Over the years, we've learned to make products that last. This commitment has inspired us to consider unique design choices and patent new processes that ensure that, once we create a product, it can be easily repaired. For example, we switched from a heat-sealed bag to a stitched one. This is because it has allowed us to significantly extend the life of our bags. However, this requires intensive testing, both in our labs and in the field, and years of research and intelligent design solutions that allow us to quickly and efficiently extend the life of our bags, which only need a little care and love after many years of use. Simply put, if we do it right, there's the difference between a complete replacement and the replacement of a small component, which can extend the life of a product.
