Sofiane Sehili after winning the 2021 edition, decided to tackle the Silk Road Mountain race again to defend her title. She took first place at the 2020 Atlas Mountain Race, the 2021 Silk Road Mountain Race, the 2022 Tour Divide, and most recently at this year's Silk Road Mountain Race. She tackled the 1,895 kilometers of the SRMR in just 7 days, 5 hours and 6 minutes (07:05:06), battling pre-race illness and challenging conditions, resulting in one of her most rewarding racing experiences.
